Dr. Gerald Cohen DDS – Contributing Writer / Reviewer
Dr. Cohen has been practicing dentistry for almost twenty five years, and is the former Director of Dental Implantology at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery, he received training in advanced implantology from the prestigious Misch Implant Institute and at New York University’s College of Dentistry. Dr. Cohen was on the faculty at the implant clinic at NYU and founded and runs The Implant Interface: A Dental Implant Study Club.
Dr. Cohen is a associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Pako Major, DDS – Contributing Writer
Dr. Major has been practicing dentistry for almost twenty years. He attended the University of Wisconsin as an honor student. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry where he attended with an academic scholarship.
Dr. David S. Binder, DDS – Contributing Writer
Dr. Binder has been practicing general dentistry for over 25 years and has been in group practice in New York since 1984. Dr. Binder was a clinical assistant professor at the New York University College of Dentistry – Department of Continuing Dental Education, where he taught chair-side practice and lectures on “Implantology: Surgical and Prosthetic Treatment” to other dentists. A Diplomat of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and one of New York City’s experts on treatments for sleep apnea and snoring, Dr. Binder has over 17 years of experience treating sleep apnea. Dr. Binder also lectures on snoring and sleep apnea treatment.
Dr. Mike Gioffre DDS – Contributing Writer
Dr. D. Michael Gioffre Jr. has been practicing dentistry for over twenty five years. He is a graduate of The University of Maryland Dental School with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Dr Gioffre has been practicing dentistry in Wilmington Delaware since 1999. He is an active member in the dental community locally, nationally and internationally. Locally Dr. Gioffre is a member of the Advisory board for Kids with Confidence a not for profit organization that provides much needed surgical and dental care to children in the Delaware Valley. Dr. Gioffre also serves on the board of the Delaware Dental Foundation which is a local not for profit organization which annually holds an event to raise awareness and donates all of its funds to a local organization, this year’s beneficiary will be the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. Nationally and Internationally Dr. Gioffre co-chairs the Dental Council of Operation Smile which is a not for profit organization providing surgical and dental care to children and young adults in over 60 countries. Dr. Gioffre has had the privilege to volunteer on 16 total missions to multiple countries including the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, China, Bolivia and the Philippines.
